There is nothing more frustrating than a slow PC, especially when you?re trying to juggle several programs and files at once. When it takes your computer half a minute to save a document ? distracting you from efficiently finishing your tasks ? then you know something is bogging down your computer.
It could be essential information is scattered across your system with files in a million different places forcing your computer to waste time searching for these important files. It could be that you have a lot of junk files clogging up the system. Or maybe you have security issues that have caused your computer to slow.
There are ways you can clean your computer and help it run smoother. Start by running a registry cleaner like ARO 2011 to clean up your computer?s files, remove errors and perform a security check. The cleaner will:
1. Analyze 13 areas of the Windows registry for errors and fix these errors to leave the PC cleaner.
2. Clean up and remove junk files that may be slowing things down. Your recycle bin, shortcuts folder, temporary files and even your thumbnails all eat up space on your PC.
3. Run a scan and check to make sure all the antispyware, antivirus and firewall features on your computer are installed and up-to-date. Often users will forget to renew or purchase antimalware products, leaving their PC wide open for viruses and spyware. With a quick check, ARO 2011 will confirm that you have up-to-date security software running to help protect your computer.
4. Perform registry tweaks to help increase PC efficiency and provide a potential boost to the performance of the PC.
If you?re having slow performance on your PC, download a free trial of ARO 2011 at Support.com, which will identify and fix up to 100 registry errors on your computer. It will also clear your temporary Internet files and provide you with a baseline security check.
Don?t let a slow PC drag you down and distract you from finishing your work. Get it cleaned up and running quickly in no time.
As you are raising your first baby you might find that the experience is much more educational and enlightening than you thought it would be. You?ll encounter many unique parenting experiences. No matter how well prepared you think you are, the odds are good that you?ll realize you have a lot to learn along the way. Reading can never take place of the experience of actually being a parent. But don?t worry about the things you don?t know yet, there is plenty of support available for new parents. There are all kinds of online support groups for parents to choose from. These groups consist of people from all over who are there to help new parents as they begin their parenting journeys. New and experienced parents also have the ability to socialize through these groups too. It?s a great idea to explore what?s out there and make some new friends along the way.
Parents sleeping with their babies is a hot topic in many circles. This is one subject that is always worth a second look. Many would argue that co-sleeping helps parents develop a deeper bond with their babies. With so many parents working full-time outside the home these days it?s possible to make up for some missed time by co-sleeping. There?s a valuable side effect of co-sleeping that impacts breast-feeding also. Recent studies show that co-sleeping with babies leads to fewer issues for the breast-feeding process.
When taking your family for that next dream vacation, do all you can so that it really is a dream and not a nightmare. You can capably take your tots to unusual settings as long as you have made the necessary plans. For one, make sure your destination has proper and adequate medical facilities for unexpected problems. Remember to book travel plans according to how much you will need to be mobile during your vacation. There are some countries, described as exotic locations, where domestic travel is not recommended even for adults. It would be a good idea to keep this info at hand as to enhance your vacation.
Both single fathers and single mothers can face the same challenges, primarily having to take the roles of both parents. This will definitely conjure up situations where changing hats, so to speak, will be necessary as you?ll need to think like both a mother and father. In these times you?ll have to provide your children with emotional support and you?ll have to nurture them. We do know that this can be an uncomfortable role to carry out. You could help yourself by simply feeling and thinking in a way that?s empathetic. Cultivating a sense of empathy for how your child is feeling and what is being experienced will often help you over the hurdles.
There is not much else as gratifying as being a parent. It is a lot like doing the hardest job with the most rewards. Keep your attitude upbeat and try not to let anything give you a negative outlook on family dealings. One way to have the ultimate family experience is to always keep a healthy outlook on your inner emotions.
This week the league was back to it?s high scoring ways. We had three teams score between 154.55 and 154.69. Two of them played each other. Aaron Rodgers put up one of the highest individual scores I?ve ever seen: 53.92. Tim needed every point to beat Jim.
Half of the league is now tied for the best record (3-1.) Total season points are the tie breaker and I think that?s going to be play a big role in setting the 4 playoff positions at the end of the year.
Highest Team Score: Tim ? 154.69 (Record: Andy, 165.41 in Week 2)
Lowest Team Score: Kyle ? 79.76 (Record: Ryan ? 59.61 in Week 3)
Biggest Blowout: Andy beat Kyle by 28.75 (Record: Dad beat Ryan by 81.19 in Week 3)
Closest Win: Tim beat Jim by 1.14 (Previous record: Andy beat Micah by 2.99 in Week 2)
Highest Scoring Player: Aaron Rodgers scored 53.92 for Tim. (Previous record: Wes Welker scored 43.6 points for Micah in week 3)
Deadbeat: Ryan (2)
And some interesting stats mostly via TMQ:
The Lions and Niners trailed by a combined 50-6, and both won.
Detroit has won eight straight.
In the Jets-Ravens game, there was one offensive touchdown and five defensive or special teams touchdowns.
In the span of nine snaps, Tony Romo threw a touchdown pass and two interceptions returned for touchdowns.
Since leaving Philadelphia, Donovan McNabb is 5-12 as a starter.
The defending-champion Packers have 10 straight victories -- and November is the earliest they can face an opponent with a winning record.
When I was pregnant with my second child, I was aware that there were ways in which I was not prepared to take care of a baby on my own, but that awareness didn't unduly influence or affect me. What I thought to myself was, "The universe will rearrange itself for this baby."
I often hear people refer to other single mothers I know as "crazy," and I assume that they refer to me that way, too.
Swifter than a speeding neutrino they were not, but explanations for the news that subatomic particles apparently travelled faster than light have still arrived remarkably fast.
"It is really impressive how many papers there are so quickly," says mathematician Peter Woit, author of the physics blog Not Even Wrong. "It is kind of standard procedure--when there's some new exciting experimental results, everyone wants to be the first to explain it. But this seems a bit even more so than usual."
On 23 September, physicists with the OPERA experiment in Italy said they had caught neutrinos arriving from the CERN particle physics lab in Switzerland 60 nanoseconds sooner than light. That seemed to violate Einstein's theory of special relativity.
Virtual robbery
Since then, papers have gushed into the physics preprint website (arxiv.org) suggesting numerous ways to account for the extraordinary claim.
Some knock the result. Nobel laureate Sheldon Glashow and colleagues point out that faster-than-light neutrinos ought to produce shock waves, which in turn would produce "virtual" particles that should rob the neutrinos of energy (arxiv.org/abs/1109.6562). If they were ever faster than light, they wouldn't stay at that speed for long enough to account for OPERA's results.
Others potential flaws are more prosaic: some papers try to pinpoint hidden sources of error, like a mis-synchronisation of the clocks at either end of the neutrino beam (arxiv.org/abs/1109.6160).
Still others explore ways in which the OPERA results line up, or conflict with earlier limits on neutrinos' flight speeds, from supernova SN1987a, for example (arxiv.org/abs/1109.5682, arxiv.org/abs/1109.5917) and other detectors.
Monkeys on a typewriter
But the majority of papers hunt for ways that would allow the result to be right. As well as several proposing shortcuts through extra dimensions (arxiv.org/abs/1109.6354 and arxiv.org/abs/1109.6282) ? a suggestion that was also mooted shortly after the neutrino announcement - explanations include neutrinos that move faster through the Earth than through space (arxiv.org/abs/1109.664), the notion that neutrinos might slice through dark matter while photons of light are slowed by the interaction (arxiv.org/abs/1109.6520), and the idea that a neutrino's speed depends on its direction and the time of day (arxiv.org/abs/1109.6296).
"At present, it would be foolhardy to say one [theory] looks better than the other," says CERN theorist John Ellis. "And they're probably all wrong, because the result will probably evaporate."
The number of explanations is useful, though. "Scientific conviction comes primarily from experimental results, but it's also the job of us theorists to, if you like, bash out all the possibilities, like monkeys on a typewriter," he says.

A cruise offers the perfect opportunity to rest, relax and enjoy more cities from the comfort of a giant float. When on a cruise means that you unpack only once and then have fun as you were pleased with the staff incredibly accommodating and occupation. But for those who have never done a cruise, it could be daunting as you may not know what to expect. Here are some guidelines to help you do that is not your first cruise experience,Forgotten.
The first thing that should be at the time of booking a cruise can be done is to do your research. Learn everything you can on the cruise ship before you make a payment. Find out if the cruise-specific, gender-specific cruises or other specialists who may not enjoy is age. Booking a cruise to find for your family, just booked your cruise for spring break can be an experience that left a sour taste in my mouth. Finding the right cruise for your needs is very important because the right amount can make or break your vacation.
One focus of research should be the dining rooms and beds on the ship. When it comes to beds, cruise ships offer a variety of options. The easiest way to an inside cabin, which is the most economical choice because it offers a comfortable place to sleep with or without a window overlooking the sea. Be aware when booking a room if one of your internal> Travel section is prone to claustrophobia. The next option for an inside cabin, an outside cabin, which has a window, but not the best out of my sight.
Then you can lounge with an outdoor patio or balcony, ocean views and a feeling of intimacy in your balcony offers upgrade. Cruise ships also offer suites and mini suites, which typically have a queen or king-size bed, separate sitting area and balcony. Be awareSome mini-suites, as they only worth a cabin with balcony and could not, the additional expense. You can not go wrong with any of these styles, which is only space for sleeping and changing clothes. Most of the time on the ship will be spent elsewhere.
Expect to see any room for less than book a hotel room, but not discouraged. Cruise ships have pretty much "in recent years developed and the cabins have thought thoughtful storage options, which means you can fit all your belongings in your room with plenty of space left over. If you are a person who is seasick, you should not be rotated by a cruise. The technology was developed to reduce the movement of ships at sea. You can also use a room in the middle of the ship, so close to the sea tend to the movements of the ship the slightest notice.
When it comes to dining on board, make sure you do your homework. Some ships offer only one plan narrow space in whichThey are a particular table and dining time for the duration of your cruise assigned. This can sometimes be uncomfortable, have some shipping companies adapted their restaurants to be flexible. Often there are several restaurants and bars make it on board that allows you to mingle while driving.
Another helpful tip for first time cruisers is to be aware of the "Cruise Time." This is important for international cruises that passdifferent time zones. In this case, it is liable for a time zone so that Cruise is not constantly change the time on their clocks, and there is food and entertainment. Discover the time, stick to the ship so that there will be any fun activities, because they had the wrong time. There is also a good idea to bring a small travel alarm clock as most cabins are not equipped with an alarm system.
Studythe layout and design of the ship is a good idea before they board ships, as can be very large in those days. On board a ship of unknown often be so intimidating when you are ready and know what they can expect to dispel these concerns.
The Artful Amoeba is proud to participate in this year?s Science Bloggers for Students science classroom fund drive (read more about this year?s project at Janet Stemwedel?s Doing Good Science blog). A number of Scientific American bloggers are participating, and we?re competing against each other and a whole bunch of other blog networks to raise cash for science supplies. If you?ve been paying any attention to what?s been happening to education budgets across the nation this year, you know how critical the situation is in some states.
The projects I chose for my giving page will all help buy microscopes for students with either old or obsolete microscopes or no microscopes at all. If you?ve experienced the magic of seeing living microorganisms right in front of your eyes, you know what an important experience this can be. I?ll never forget the first time I observed Vorticella in microbiology at Cornell, and was stunned to see it retract in an instant like a telephone cord when someone bumped the lab bench on which my microscope sat. That these little guys could respond to stimuli from our world, and in such an astounding way, opened my eyes to the beauty and complexity of the small. Here?s a sample for you; if you watch carefully, you can see roundworms (I think) swimming slinkily by as well, along with a host of other interesting beasties.
As awesome as this is, there?s nothing like seeing it live and in person (and being surprised by the spontaneous behaviors you see!), so microscopes for schools are a cause I can support with my whole heart.
I?ve kicked in $10 to get it started ? I?d donate more, but I?m currently ?underemployed? as I work on getting my freelance career off the ground and (shh) also on a book proposal. You may be in similar circumstances, but it doesn?t matter. Whatever you can give, no matter how small, is great. For the cost of a frozen pizza, you can help spread the magic of biology to kids who wouldn?t otherwise get the chance to experience it.
Have a look at the microscope projects I?ve chosen and select one of your desire. Or give to more than one, or just give at the top of my page to the projects I?m supporting in general. If you?re a reader of this blog, it?s a cause I know you can get behind. And if you have a competitive streak, you can track how Scientific American is doing against our competition (or you can see how this blog is doing against the other Sci Am bloggers here). Help us represent!

What is technical analysis?
It is a method of evaluating stocks, commodities, and other securities by analyzing statistics generated by market activity. Examples of activity are past prices, and volume. Charts and other tools are used to identify patterns that can help predict future activity. This is essential to trading success.
Efficient market theory is a fraud
Many from academia believe in the efficient market theory. It states that the stock market, commodities market, and other trading venues, are for the most part, unpredictable. This is simply not true. When a trader implements proper technical analysis, they have an enormous advantage over someone who does not. Analyzing a chart is synonymous with trading success.
Supply and demand causes the price to move
When the demand for a stock, also known as orders to buy, is greater than the supply, also known as orders to sell, the price will go up. On the other hand, if supply exceeds demand, the price will go down. Charts provide a record of supply and demand. When a stock or commodity goes up in price on heavy volume, this tells us there is a lot of demand.
Chart reading is a valuable tool
The purpose of chart reading or technical analysis is to determine the probable strength of demand, versus the pressure of supply at various price levels. This helps the technician predict the probable direction a stock or commodity will move. Once a trader becomes proficient analyzing price and volume action on a chart, their odds of trading success increase dramatically. This is a main reason why the same traders make money year after year. It proves the efficient market theory is wrong.
Price and volume provide excellent clues
The history of a stock?s price movement and volume, as recorded on a chart, provide clues that can lead to a literal fortune. In the marketplace, history repeats itself quite often. Price movements tend to repeat with great consistency. This is due to human nature, which never changes. Nearly all of the world?s best traders and investors are highly skilled, when it comes to pattern recognition on a chart. Technical analysis is a key component to overall trading success.
Follow the trend for trading success
Nothing is more important in technical analysis than the ability to properly interpret the trend. Prices have a tendency to move in a certain direction for a considerable amount of time. This trend, or movement of prices, frequently assumes a definite pattern. The skill of recognizing key patterns on a chart, significantly improves your chances of making huge sums of money in the various trading venues. Trading success can by yours, if you are willing to put in the time and effort.
In summary
Nearly all successful traders and investors use some form of technical analysis to help them formulate their trading strategies. There are identifiable price patterns on a chart. They can give you clear indications when there is a better chance of one thing happening over another. All trading is based on probabilities, and you always want an edge to put the odds in your favor.
Technical analysis is far superior for projecting future price movement, than a purely fundamental approach. Once you acquire the skill of technical analysis, a whole new world will open up for you. This new world has the potential to make you very wealthy. Trading success can be yours.

ATHENS (Reuters) ? Greece was expected to unveil its plan on Sunday to begin laying off state workers, the most contentious part of a reform package demanded by the EU and IMF to free up loans and stave off bankruptcy.
Without the release of an 8 billion euro ($10.7 billion)tranche of an EU bailout, massively indebted Greece could run out of money to pay state wage bills within weeks.
European officials are scrambling to avert a Greek debt default, which could wreck the balance sheets of European banks, damage the prospects of the euro single currency and possibly plunge the world into a new global financial crisis.
A senior member of the ruling coalition in Germany, Europe's paymaster, said it may be necessary for Greece to abandon the euro, a prospect European governments officially reject as beyond consideration.
Negotiators from the International Monetary Fund, European Union and European Central Bank, known as the troika, have returned to Athens after walking out of talks a month ago, and have met Greek officials for the past four days.
To persuade the troika to release the loans, the government has promised to introduce new taxes, cut state wages by an average of 20 percent and reduce the number of public sector workers by a fifth by 2015.
The austerity measures are deeply unpopular, and public sector unions hope that strikes and demonstrations can wreck the Socialist government's resolve to enact them.
No part of the package is more contentious than the plan to lay off state workers -- who make up a fifth of the Greek workforce and are guaranteed jobs for life under a constitution that bans firing government employees in virtually all circumstances.
The cabinet was due to meet on Sunday evening to discuss a plan to begin layoffs by setting up a "labor reserve." Under the plan, 30,000 workers would be put in the reserve by the end of this year and paid 60 percent of their salaries for a year, after which they would be dismissed.
The government has yet to announce how the programme would work, including details such as whether it would be used to push out younger workers or only to accelerate the retirement of workers already reaching pension age.
Greek officials said late on Saturday a solution was close.
"We are close to a deal on the labor reserve," one senior official said after several hours of difficult talks on the issue. "We want to conclude negotiations with the troika on the labor reserve by tomorrow and also approve it in a cabinet meeting tomorrow."
The troika inspectors want assurances that the plan will be implemented swiftly and will not only include civil servants close to retirement, the official said.
POOR, MIDDLE CLASS HURT
Greeks hostile to the austerity measures say the harsh cuts will deepen the impact of a three-year recession and disproportionately hurt the poor and middle class.
Labor unions hope to step up political pressure with a campaign of strikes and protests in coming weeks. The government has a majority of just four seats in parliament and could be forced into elections if a handful of lawmakers balk.
Hundreds of black-shirted anarchists marched through the capital's central Syntagma Square on Saturday, chanting slogans and carrying black and red flags. A few women among the crowd pushed children in strollers. Police hope to prevent a repeat of street battles in June when more than 100 people were hurt.
Striking civil servants have tried to block the troika talks. At one point on Friday, transport ministry workers prevented their minister from meeting the negotiators.
Finance Minister Evangelos Venizelos told the pro-government newspaper To Vima that the loan tranche was "assured" because "we are taking such difficult decisions and the Greek people are shouldering such great sacrifices."
But there has clearly been a shift in the views of European leaders in recent weeks, with many increasingly suggesting that bailouts may not be enough to save Greece.
The deputy leader of the Christian Social Union, one of three parties in Chancellor Angela Merkel's center-right coalition, said on Sunday Greece may be better off leaving the euro zone if it cannot restore its fiscal health.
Alexander Dobrindt told Deutschlandfunk radio that a Greek exit from the euro would be a last resort measure and Greece would find it easier to recover outside the currency bloc.
"I believe it is a solution, if one wants to bring Greece back into a economically stable competitive condition, that this would be done outside the euro zone," he said.
The finance minister of Slovakia said on Saturday that policymakers need to be ready for the impact of a Greek bankruptcy if the troika concludes that default is inevitable.
"We are now waiting for results of the IMF and EU inspectors. This should be the basis for a clear assessment whether Greece's position is sustainable, or whether bankruptcy and a write-off of part of the debt are inevitable," Ivan Miklos told Czech daily Lidove Noviny.
"In case we draw a conclusion that the situation in Athens is not sustainable, we must say how we are prepared for a coordinated bankruptcy and how we will prevent further contagion."
